I use this ViewHD switch with the following devices:
Onkyo Amplifier, Onkyo DVD player, TVIX media player, custom-built HTPC with HDMI port on motherboard, Canon HF11 HD camcorder.
All of these work correctly, without any issues. The unit is small and doesn’t take much space – but keep in mind that Input 1 and power connector is located on the left side and Output on the right side, so you’ll have HDMI plugs on both sides and the width will be more than the unit itself.
Unit has a red Power light which is fairly bright but not unreasonably so. Port lights are blue (active) or red (inactive). The switch automatically switches to lowest numbered port for devices that are On. Remote is small, I only used it once to train my Harmony One universal remote. After adding the switch to corresponding activities on the remote everything was switching without any problems to correct ports.
Overall I’m very happy with this purchase – this switch works well, does exactly what it’s supposed to without any issues, looks good and the price is very reasonable.
Canon wanted for a similar cable, but I bought this cable for my Canon Rebel T1 digital SLR at this remarkable price. The cable is spectacular and my images and videos are very clear. The standard analog cable that was included with the Rebel is disappointing and there is a night and day difference between a digital signal and an analog signal. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
I bought this to hook my computer to my new HD TV, so i could not only watch video from my computer to my TV, but also so i could sit back on my couch and do my internet and word processing work. I am using this right now and it’s great have watched some TV and music videos through this and the sound quality is good but not great I think that a movie experience would fall a bit flat. This is a must have for anyone who likes to compute and integrate their technologies within a room.
