This product is excellent. I need to have good headphones for travel. I previously had a pair of AKG’s and I tested the bose quiet comfort 3’s which are owned by my boss. Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s surely beats my AKG’s hands down in every department and I must say that the area’s that the bose beat the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s are;
1. Noise cancelling – only slightly
2. Comfort – the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s kind of rests on the top of the head but this can be remedied by adjustment.
3. Style – The bose definitely make a better fashion statement
in the areas of;
1. Sound quality – the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s is better overall as the boses’ are a bit bassy. The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s have higher frequency details and just sound more crisp.
2. Construction – Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s are made much stronger and sturdier. Bose’s actually have an inferior feel
3. Practicality of use – The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s can be used with or without noise cancelling. Not having this must be bad for bose users on long flights.
4. Price – This goes without saying. The Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s price is maybe one third the price of the bose.
5. Noise cancelling is effective enough. (quite good actually)
There is some sound leakage if you turn it up full throttle but if the volume is at a non-ear-damaging level sound leakage will not be an issue.
Overall I just can’t justify spending so much more money just for looking better or brand name!
Overall the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B’s are just a better buy!!!!
